I read an interesting tidbit in an article about holiday shopping this weekend. According to Darren Dahl, a professor of applied marketing research, when people feel insecure, they tend to buy more. The author then suggested not wearing comfy sweatpants to shop in, but dress up a little bit to boost your confidence.
