Years ago, when I was a little girl, my grandmother brought me to visit some friends who owned a bed & breakfast. I don’t remember much about that visit, but I do remember drinking in the environment: a happy couple who worked out of their home, a warm and inviting kitchen and opera streaming from the radio. In my revisionist memory, I like to think I decided right then and there to become an entrepreneur.
Flash forward many years. I’ve left my corporate life. I’m in my kitchen testing some recipes for a corporate client and thinking about the clients coming into my (home) office the next day. Jazz is streaming from the radio. Out of the blue, I remember that visit to the B&B. And I realized that all of the elements that I loved about that situation are now firmly a part of mine.
Dream it, do it.
